We have taken the new version of our old favourite the Deano bibshort, and given it a ventilated version we call Deanolite. A high quality chamois is mounted in a roadie-style bibshort, and the backwaist and thigh area are constructed of a durable mesh to keep things cool. You can see through it when you hold it up to the light, but it is opaque enough when you are wearing it to be safe around people who are easily startled. The bits you really don't want visible are covered in a very nice black nylon polyamide compression fabric. There is no gripper elastic in the cuffs: grippers don't play nice with hairy legs, and most of the trail riders we know don't shave. If you do, these will still work, they use a cuff of stretch lycra to keep the legs in place.

These are the bizz for wearing under baggies for trail riding. A bib short to keep your undercarriage in pristine condition thoughout a long day in the saddle, and a pair of your favourite trail shorts (probably Nzo Sifters) to protect you from the inevitable biff.

There is generous use of mesh in the shoulder straps, and a pocket in the centre back which will take a phone or media player.
